Not sure if anyone has identified that the year 2020 could mean “perfect vision”.
The year of seeing things in a new light, with clearer perspective and leaving behind the things you don’t want to carry into the new decade.
Personally, I don’t believe in new year’s resolutions and prefer to goal set – why? Because goals are specific and actionable, which makes them more effective.
Ways to turn resolutions into goals: SMALL goals SMALL steps
Get clear on what you would like to accomplish, why it is important to you and how you will make it happen. Here is one example:
“I would like to make more money”
How will you make more money – get a promotion, change your job or start a side business?
Steps – break it down. What do I do to get a promotion? Do I need a new resume to apply for jobs and what sort of jobs do I look for? What sort of business would be interesting and what would I be passionate about?
Once you decide on how to make more money, list the steps required in chronological order and make them simple and easy to follow. The goal needs to be small and simple. Find your own system that works for you. If you need a coach to guide you then find one you love!
Remember that sleep, exercise and good nutrition are fantastic ways to begin the year and start setting just one good goal.
