Instant Energy

Instant Energy

Its winter and it’s great to keep up our energy levels, refuel our bodies and feel some vitality. Here are some effective ideas to boost your day during our colder months.

Sleep with some natural light coming into the room. Then you wake to the sunlight instead of the alarm clock.

Technology free hours – try no television, phones or computers. If you can do it for a day, then even better.

Get some vitamin D - Get out into the sunshine for at least 15 minutes every day.

Aromatherapy - It really works my friends. Peppermint is great for uplifting yourself and concentrating, Lavender for relaxing and Bergamont (orange scent) for the home.

Snacking - Instead of that vending machine bag of chips, go for celery and carrot sticks with hummus, almonds or mixed nuts.

Exercise - Outdoors is best if you can. Regular walking or running or a class of yoga or pilates. You could also invest in a wonderful machine called a ZEN CHI, which is small and unobtrusive. Do some research on them, you’ll be glad you did.

Breathing - Sit for 10 minutes a day and breathe deeply in and out. It’s calming and good for the body to rejuvenate and calm.

Think green - Make yourself a natural blood purifying drink. Try spinach, celery, broccoli, cucumber, and wheatgrass. It’s energising and detoxifying.
